Facility managers face every imaginable catastrophe impacting their facilities on a daily basis with water intrusions being the most common issue.  Defining the water source and specifically the category of water (Level 1, 2 or 3) dictates the severity of containment, extraction and the impact on construction materials within your facilities.  The key is having a water intrusion plan to properly address the water loss. The importance of proper containment and using technology (thermal imaging, psychometric and moisture readings) to assess proper drying techniques throughout mitigation and to coordinate responsive reconstruction plans when dealing with operations and facility management.

Measurable outcomes:

-Understand the difference between the categories of water

-Impact construction materials have during a water loss

-Who needs to be involved and included in communication and why

-How technology is impacting mitigation techniques
